Allen Bradley, also known as A.-B. or AB, was a multinational engineering firm headquartered in the United States. Founded in 1892, the company provided products and services for various industries, including power generation, transportation, industrial automation, and robotics. Some of its notable achievements include developing the first electronic programmable controller in 1957 and creating the compact disc drive that became an industry standard for data storage. In addition to its work in the U.S., Allen Bradley also had significant operations in Europe, Asia, and other parts of the world. However, the company has since been merged with another automation giant Rockwell Automation in 2018, forming a new entity called Rockwell Bradly International (RBI). Although Allen Bradley is no longer a standalone brand, it remains an important player in the field of automation and control systems technology.
